Adverse actions include the following:
- Removals
- Suspensions for more than 14 calendar days, including indefinite suspensions;
- Reductions in grade;
- Reductions in pay; and
- Furloughs of 30 calendar days or less. (5 U.S.C. § 7512 and 5 C.F.R. § 752.401).
The Office of Policy and Programs is currently preparing a Disciplinary and Adverse Handbook that will replace the current Department Administrative Order 202-751, Discipline (8/4/80). This Handbook is in the development stage. The current DAO must be followed until the Handbook is approved.
