Employee Performance & Awards: Honor Awards

The Honor Awards are the highest non-monetary award granted by the Department. The awards are medals (Gold, Silver, or Bronze) which are given to deserving employees for their distinguished, exceptional or meritorious contributions to the Department.

Gold and Silver Medals are presented by the Secretary and Bronze Medals by the Secretarial Officer or head of the operating unit. For more details see Chapter 10 of the Performance Management System Handbook (Recognition Section) and the Honor Awards program page.
